Transvaginal ultrasound allows Dr. Munch to examine the ovaries and the uterus. It can help her take an antral follicle count to learn more about your egg supply. It can also help her identify any ovarian cysts as well as uterine polyps or fibroids.

Fertility bloodwork can provide information about your hormone levels and your ovarian reserve, or egg supply. Two of the most common tests are follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH).

Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is a test that occurs in a radiology department. It can help Dr. Munch determine whether your fallopian tubes are open or blocked. If the tubes are not open, there are fertility treatments available to bypass this issue.

Armed with your test results, our San Antonio fertility doctor can help you design the best family-building plan for your needs and goals. The treatments she might recommend could include intrauterine insemination (IUI) with donor sperm or in vitro fertilization (IVF) with donor sperm. Reciprocal IVF is also an option, and it’s one that can allow both you and your partner to play a role in the pregnancy.
